Ice Cream Trail Stop #12 – Freddy Hill Farms, Lansdale, PA August 21, 2020October 27, 2023July 15, 2020We are beginning to get out of rural PA as we continue heading towards Philadelphia. Freddy Hill Farms is in a suburban town. It has a small store along with the ice cream bar. They also have putt putt, batting cages, and a playground.Interestingly, they sell their scooped ice cream by the ounce, 55 cents per ounce. So the barista scoops it and then asks “do you want more?” How can you say no?!I had a kid size cup of Almond Joy ice cream which was delicious. It was a buttery favored ice cream with toasted coconut and huge chunks of dark chocolate. I’m quite curious … I didn’t notice almonds. Were they chopped into small pieces or did they use almond flavoring instead of vanilla in the mix?Gregg had Apple Pie ice cream. It was a nice flavor, not too sweet with apple pieces and pie dough chunks. He enjoyed it.Ratings on a scale of -5 to 5:Creativity: 3Flavor: 5Texture: 5Temperature: 5Selection: 5Type: hard packed/scoopedWorth the Drive? 3 2020 Ice Cream Ice Cream Trails Ice Creameries PA Ice Cream Trail Ice Cream
