We are beginning to get out of rural PA as we continue heading towards Philadelphia. Freddy Hill Farms is in a suburban town. It has a small store along with the ice cream bar. They also have putt putt, batting cages, and a playground.
Interestingly, they sell their scooped ice cream by the ounce, 55 cents per ounce. So the barista scoops it and then asks “do you want more?” How can you say no?!
I had a kid size cup of Almond Joy ice cream which was delicious. It was a buttery favored ice cream with toasted coconut and huge chunks of dark chocolate. I’m quite curious … I didn’t notice almonds. Were they chopped into small pieces or did they use almond flavoring instead of vanilla in the mix?
Gregg had Apple Pie ice cream. It was a nice flavor, not too sweet with apple pieces and pie dough chunks. He enjoyed it.
