Quiet Day in Kidlington – Day 15 of 2025 England Pilgrimage October 3, 2025October 3, 2025Friday 10/3/2025Today is rainy so we decided to have a quiet day at the house. Well, actually, we first walked into Kidlington to pick up a few grocery items at the Tesco while it was still just drizzling. We took the towpath to the right, walked to the first locks and went over canal via the walking bridge, crossed the train tracks which nicely had lights to tell us it when it was safe to cross, then walked through neighborhoods to emerge at the shopping area. It was nice to not have to walk alongside the busy road. There are hands, feet, paws, and ? on the sidewalk. I’ve not figured out what it represents, but may have something to do with their “welcome back” campaign after COVID lock down.I stopped by Stanley’s Sweets and Treats and the sweet proprietor showed me the syrup she used for the pumpkin spice milkshakes. Now, to find it in the States!Once back at the house, we’ve read, ate left overs from yesterday’s chipper take-away, Gregg worked on his computer, and I helped Jennie with some sewing/mending things. We pick Steve up at the bus stop at 4:30 and the four of us will drive to Salisbury. Steve has a rental house there where we will stay tonight and tomorrow night. Lots to see over there!Sorry – my pictures are backwards chronologically again. No time to fix. 2025 England Pilgrimage - Part 2 Travels Great BritainTravels
