Yes, we are obsessed!
We are moooo-ving up the road to begin more of the ice cream trail tomorrow!
Our first stop is four hours from our PA house, so we decided to get a jump start tonight. We’d hate to miss ice cream for second-breakfast. (wink)
VISIT PA published the 2020 PA Ice Cream Trail. We decided to visit the creameries on this list: 26 PA Creameries to Satisfy Your Sweet Tooth
Saturday, we visited six of the 26. We missed one because we thought it was closed (Google knows a lot but was confused on this one.)
We ate at Penn State’s Berkey Creamery in January when I took the Ice Cream 101 course. We’re going to let that count because their website indicates you can’t purchase scooped ice cream right now.
That leaves 19 on this list. We have until Sunday night, or until we call “Uncle.” I suspect my chances of quiting are higher than my husband’s. He’s tenacious!
Below are two Google maps. For clarification, The Franklin Fountain is in Philadelphia, not far from the Liberty Bell! We plan to diversify by adding some Cheese Steaks to the taste testing and by playing tourist.
Although it isn’t clear how the two Google maps connect, from Chester Springs Creamery, west of Philly, we will continue our route with Lapp Valley Farm. Despite its absence from the route, we DO will return to our PA home after Windy Knoll in Chambersburg, PA.
Please follow along on our Ice Cream Adventure, Wednesday through Sunday. Thank you!
