We headed home from Lancaster via Costco, Gettysburg, and then we headed towards Waynesboro, PA for an ice cream shop where I was to meet a fellow HopeWriter for the first time. Through the HopeWriter private Facebook page, Katherine found me on my travel blog. She wrote a comment saying she was not far from Chambersburg, one of our PA Ice Cream Trail stops. Her sister and brother-in-law own Annie’s Ice Cream and Donuts shop in Waynesboro. Katherine suggested that we meet there if I was ever in town. A few weeks later, we met! I had a delightful time getting to know her! Thanks, HopeWriters, for connecting us!
Looking back on our four-day vacation, it is hard to believe that we saw and did so many things. We drank in God’s beauty, enjoying being outside, taking hikes, driving through Pennsylvania, eating ice cream other delicious foods, and just being together, relaxing.
