Narnia Road Trip Day 3 – Church and Family

Back to Morgantown

Narnia Road Trip Day 3 started with Gregg frying eggs for us girls before going to Morgantown for church. It was wonderful to see our friends there. And the service was a special Advent service, Lessons and Carols.

After church, we went to Mennard’s, it is like Lowes on steroids. When we close the house, we put buckets of Damp Rid out so we replenished our supply along with something that hopefully wards off mice. No sign of them this time so maybe it works.

Lovies

I have been crocheting in the car, learning to make cat lovies. Ladybug wants one so we stopped at Michael’s to let her pick out yarn. I found the perfect colors for an Aunt Kitten lovie, too!

Birthday Celebration

Today is Doug’ birthday (Gregg’s brother) and we were invited to Dinner at 2:00, hosted by his daughter, Emilee. She had prepared mutton (which coincidentally seemed to blend in with our Narnia theme) and other delicious food. The table was set with china that had been in my family, which made it very special for me.

Rachel had come home from Pittsburgh to help celebrate her Dad’s birthday. We were happy to have been able to see her!

After dinner, we talked, played a game, and looked at old family photos.

It was a wonderful day! Tomorrow we are “on the road again,” although a bit sad that we will miss the 2.5 inches of snow they are predicting here tomorrow afternoon.
