Ice Cream Trail Day Trip – Western Pennsylvania August 21, 2020October 27, 2023 July 11, 2020 A fellow Ice Cream 101 student told me (Kristin) in January about the Pennsylvania Ice Cream Trails. The PA Dairy Association organizes it, offering participants a “Passport” to be stamped at specific creameries. Once filled, the passport could be exchanged for an ice cream bowl. There are three trails, Western PA, South Central PA, and Eastern PA. We.were.smitten! When our vacation to Scotland and Ireland got canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we decided that the ice cream trails would be a fun alternative. The PA Dairy Association is not able to sponsor the 2020 Ice Cream Trail due to “Rona,” but no worries! We found last year’s creameries list and will use it to create our own trail! Today we are going to see how many creameries we can visit until we: Run out of day, orBecome comatose. There were eight creameries on the Western PA Trail. Stop number one is 40 minutes from our PA “Brown Hill” home. We invite you to vicariously join us for our day trip! 2020 Ice Cream Ice Cream Trails Ice Creameries PA Ice Cream Trail Ice Cream
