We got an inside cabin this time so we have to turn on the TV to see where we are going. It was SO NICE and DARK to sleep!
We were up at 8, showered and breakfast editing, and met some Mahjongg players at 9 to play a few rounds. Our ship didn’t get into the Cadiz, Spain port until 11:00ish.
We have been here before so we just got off and walked around. Plus, my posts hadn’t finish uploading so I needed to be on land for cheaper-than-cruising cell service.
My phone is acting funky – I’ve taken some photos but can find them on my phone. Hopefully they will show up and I’ll share a few.
The Mahjongg group plans to meet tonight after the show which ends at 8:30. We plan to skip that opportunity.
Ok, mystery solved. No time travel this trip. 😢
I was just experiencing Groundhog Day. 🤷♀️
I changed the time on my phone last night since we were changing time zones. I just happened to do it at 11pm and changed it to 12am. Never thought to check the date. 👀🤷♀️😹
We’ve walked around Cadiz and said, “Oh, yes! I remember this!” We sat inside a Roman Catholic Church for a bit, walked through the Mercado which had very few vendors (we assume shops close on Mondays), walked along the water, found a Carrefour Express (mini-grocery store) for Coke Zero (I’m heading off a headache – that’s my excuse and I’m sticking with it! 😇), now we are sitting in front of a beautiful municipal building, enjoying the coolness in the shade and drinking our Cokes while I write this.
We’ll get back on the ship soon to eat, read, and relax.
Tomorrow’s port is Casablanca. At this point, we don’t anticipate getting off the bus. We visited last time and are glad we did – the Mosque is breathtaking. But it isn’t an easy place to navigate by yourself on foot. And we don’t have a desire to purchase an excursion to see a place we saw a year ago. We will be content on the ship.
I’ll plan to post again after we visit the Azores on Thursday. Thanks for reading!
